Monday my ankle was feeling alot better ….. For those of you who don’t know I rolled my ankle really badly at Christmas time which resulted in me needing to rest it from any hard cardio. Which freaked me out during prep as I wasn’t able to push myself.
It was feeling better Monday, and Monday marked 4 weeks out. So I decided to get back into my sprints which I LOVE!
I felt some shin pain, but didn’t think too much of it.
I did some sprints yesterday and the pain come back, but in 10FOLDS! I thought, shit, shin splints!
I spoke to a friend who is studying to be a physio and she said it sounds like anterior tibialis tendinitis. Which is the muscle that controls the pointing and flexing action of the foot! So can’t walk properly now, can’t run, can’t move without insane pain.
Off to see a physio this afternoon…. 3.5 weeks to go and I cannot perform any cardio that I need too! FUCK!
